In 2000 the Stone Canyon Inn was started as a B&B. With its breathtaking location, the Inn quickly expanded and we built Cabins, Bungalows, Tree Houses and Deluxe King units to accommodate the many guests that found our property to be the perfect location to visit Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area. We love people being able to stay with us and feel they are part of the beautiful outdoors while being pampered with outstanding accommodations. Most of our accommodations are free standing, private and secluded. It is common to see deer, foxes, rabbits and squirrels. You may also hear coyotes.
The only thing missing was delicious, fresh, natural food; hence, another dream was born and the Stone Hearth Grille was created!
The Inn was built with post and beam and very high vaulted ceilings. We have a large deck off the main room with a stream, waterfall and pond. In the center of the main room is a beautiful stone fireplace. It took no imagination to turn the Inn into a warm, inviting, upscale restaurant.
The Stone Hearth Grille has views in all directions. From the outdoor seating under our pergola, our guests will watch a massive pink mountain turn every shade of pink and red as the sun sets at night. The waterfall brings sounds of nature and feelings of peace.
Our goal is to make your dinner a memorable experience. Our staff is trained to attend to every need so each guest will feel pampered. We have fresh, natural, hormone free beef, seafood and poultry. Our sauces and desserts set us apart from our competitors
Enjoy spectacular views of pink mountains at sunset while steaks, fish, and chicken sizzle on the grille. All of our sauces are made from scratch. We were a group of 6 who left the Stone Hearth Grille recently all singing its praises. The architecture of the building and its setting in the picturesque Utah landscape were just the prelude to a fabulous meal. Riley, the owner, and his two sons were our friendly servers for the evening. French onion soup, beet ravioli, brined pork chop, and the most tender beef filet we had ever had followed by lemon tart and chocolate mousse – all delicious and perfectly prepared. We were staying outside Bryce Canyon and looking for some fine dining. There is not a lot of choice but Stone Hearth would have been worth traveling even further in order to enjoy their excellent food. I had the New York strip steak and my wife had the ribeye. Both were excellent. We followed this up with an outstanding cheesecake with blueberry compote. Definitely worth a visit.
Having found our hotel (Ruby’s inn) a bit basic and staff unhelpful ( no tea bags in milk in room option black coffee only! Tea bags milk you have to buy from store) also reviews of Bryce Canyon restaurants a bit basic we decided to travel here WELL worth the trip out great service real food steaks were great. Worth the travel, food excellent,views from restaurant amazing. Looking at about $80 a head with a couple of drinks including tips.
We didn’t have a reservation but since we got there when they opened they were able to accommodate us. We sat inside but could still see the mountain view. We started with their appetizer bread which was delicious. I had a fresh tasty salad and my husband had the Roasted Poblano Pepper which he raved about. Service is polite and professional and the atmosphere was above average.
Great spot for dining. The food was just terrific. The ribeye steak was as good as any “famous” steakhouse. The stuffed shrimp could not get bettering filled with crabmeat. Service was wonderful. The experience made for a most enjoyable dinner. Thank you to the person who suggested we stop here.
Lovely dining experience from the time you are seated. Beautiful views and the creativity of the chef is a joy. We began with a unique Caprese Salad with homemade mozzarella cheese and fresh tomatoes lying in a lovely light, slightly lemony sauce. Followed with rib eye steaks that were exceptional both in flavor and tenderness. Make this a definite stop when near Bryce Canyon.
